Welcome back to Two Minute Tuesday! Here is what we have going on…
See You at the Pole
Student Government is hosting See You At the Pole tomorrow morning, Wednesday, September 23rd, @ 7:15 AM. Students of all grades are invited to gather at our flag pole to pray and worship over our school, city, state, and nation. PreK-3rd grade students must have an adult chaperone.
Secondary students, remember to bring your breakfast items to share at the secondary breakfast following See You At the Pole.
Purple Day
Our next purple day will be Friday, September 25th. Purple out our classrooms to show your school spirit on Friday!
Don’t Miss the Deadline!
Order forms for the approved CCS purple hoodie were sent home on Monday, Sept 14th, in Monday folders. These hoodies are approved for in class wear. Please contact Mrs. Wheaton if you have any questions. Order forms are due Oct 1st.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
At CCS we find it important to keep our parents informed of their child’s progress. As outlined in your Parent and Student Handbook, we believe that the education of a child is a responsibility that is given to the family through Deuteronomy 6:7. In order to facilitate this, we will communicate with you as needed but we also request a parent/teacher conference once a semester.
It is time for our first Parent/Teacher Conference of the year. Teachers will be communicating with parents individually to set appointments for conference times. All parent/teacher conferences for the fall should be completed by October 9th.
Additionally, to aid in allowing time for these conferences, students will not have class on Friday, October 2nd.
Camp Grady Spruce Fundraiser
The 5th and 6th grade homeroom is having a fundraiser at McDonald’s on Tuesday, September 29th. Drop by from 5 – 8 PM next Tuesday and help send our students to Camp Grady Spruce. McDonald’s graciously donates a portion of proceeds from all sales during that time.
Fall Pictures
Picture Day will be Friday, Oct 16th. Order forms will go home at the beginning of October. More details to come.
Family Worship Night
Ever wonder what Chapel is like?
This year we have felt lead to engage in corporate worship as a school every Friday during Chapel and have had several very powerful times of worship. Come join us on Thursday, October 22nd, at 6:30 PM, at Indian Creek Baptist Church for a school-wide Family Night of Worship.
Looking Forward
Holiday Program- We have changed things up a little this year and will have a Holiday program instead of a Thanksgiving program. It will be on the evening of Thursday, December 10th. All students will be performing, including secondary. More details to come in the coming months.
Homecoming will be January 29th, start thinking about your costumes for spirit week too.
